On June 10, 2003 Sarah Bednar, Callie Blevins, Cassie Blevins, and Meg Lord from the Golden Spurs 4-H Club in Craighead County competed in the District 4-H Horse Show at the Jackson County Saddle Club Arena in Newport, Arkansas.

Sarah Bednar placed 1st in Hunter Under Saddle, 4th in Showmanship at Halter on Sociable Seeking Man, and she rode Barrel's on Pride's Little Candy.  Meg Lord placed 1st in Showmanship at Halter,, 1st in Stock Horse Gelding on Sure Smooth Zip.  Callie Blevins placed 4th in the Hunter Under Saddle on Sidney.  Cassie Blevins placed 6th in Hunter Under Saddle on  Queen's Landing.
